Best Kid Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas
There really is a lot to do in Las Vegas as a family both on and off the Las Vegas Strip. Get up close and personal with stingrays at the Shark Reef Aquarium inside Mandalay Bay. Explore Egyptian treasures at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. Or, take a spin on the High Roller, the 550-foot tall observation wheel adjacent to Harrah’s. Now the only question is, where to stay as a family?
One look online and you’ll find many hotel options, including hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, in downtown Las Vegas and in quieter nearby towns like Henderson and Summerlin. In July, we opted to stay in Henderson, which is 20 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip. It was close, but not too close. Our hotel was also casino-free, which was nice.

Best Kid Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas
Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort
We stayed at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson. Not only is the resort beautiful, but it was made for families. From the fantastic on-site restaurants to the outdoor playground to the family pool with a water slide, the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort is a great choice for kids. This hotel easily has one of the best family pools in Las Vegas.
When we first arrived at the hotel, we headed straight to the pool deck to find that the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort has two swimming pools. One for adults and one for families. Even better, the family pool is no deeper than around three feet all the way around, which was perfect for my five-year-old son. Plus, the twisting water slide was a big hit with my kids. They slid down dozens of times.
Adjacent to the family pool is a small playground, so kids can easily spend hours swimming, sliding and climbing and sliding again on the play structure. This kid friendly hotel in Las Vegas has a ping-pong table, giant chess and checker boards and cornhole boards outside to further entertain the kids. Again, very family-friendly, truly earning a spot among the best hotels for kids in Las Vegas.
The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort has several on-site restaurants, including the casual Rick’s Café and the more formal Marssa Steak & Sushi. We ate dinner at Rick’s Café our first night. I loved the Grilled West Coast Salmon. My kids loved the Green Spaghetti (spaghetti with pesto sauce). In the morning, go for the breakfast buffet or order up the Rooti Tooti Footi French Toast for your kids. Yum.
The accommodations are fantastic as well. During our stay, we had a three-room suite, which had two bedrooms and a family room, as well as three bathrooms. We also had fantastic views of Lake Las Vegas, which was very relaxing. I only wish I had time to get even more relaxed at the on-site Spa Moulay.
For those who like to get outdoors, you can work with the concierge to book stand-up paddleboards with Paddle to the Core or a round of golf at Reflection Bay Golf Club next door to this Las Vegas family resort. You can also play mini-golf or basketball before relaxing in the private lagoon at Riatta Beach.
The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort truly felt like an oasis, easily making it one of the best family hotels in Las Vegas. It was quiet and casino-free, but close to the Las Vegas Strip when you want to go in to check out the lights and glitter of Las Vegas Blvd. It’s also easy to stay put at this kid friendly hotel in Las Vegas given just how much there is to do as a family without having to get in your car.
Tahiti Village
Just south of the Las Vegas Strip, away from the lights and the crowds, look for Tahiti Village. Kids will love the tropical beach pool with the sandy beach and lazy river at this Las Vegas family resort. You may love taking a spa day, or at least a spa afternoon, at the on-site Mahana Spa where you can book a massage or a facial.
Tahiti Village ranks among the best Las Vegas hotels for families given the various suites you can book, including a two-bedroom suite that sleeps up to eight people on two king beds and two queen sofa beds. This Las Vegas family resort also offers a grocery delivery service, which will shop for you and put away all of your groceries in your suite before you arrive.
Even better, Tahiti Village has a Denny’s on-site at the resort, which happens to be open 24-hours a day, just like everything else in Las Vegas. Or, go to a Luau, which takes place every Sunday during the summer. Kids will love the colorful leis, the high-energy Polynesian dancers and the tasty buffet dinners at one of the best hotels for kids in Las Vegas.
Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas
The Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas may be located on Las Vegas Blvd, but set atop Mandalay Bay, you’re far enough away from the scene for a vacation at one of the best family hotels in Las Vegas. Located on floors 35 to 39, kids will love taking in the views down below from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
This kid friendly hotel in Las Vegas offers a mix of guest rooms and suites depending on how much space you and your family need. As a bonus, the hotel offers childproofing services, as well as cribs and rollaway beds for little ones. The Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas even offers a weekend family fun itinerary to help you plan your stay with visits to the Shark Reef Aquarium, Lied Discovery Children’s Museum and the Hoover Dam.
During your stay, you and your kids can enjoy the private outdoor pool at the Four Seasons that offers private cabanas and poolside snacks. Or, enjoy full access to the three swimming pools, a wave pool, a lazy river and a sandy beach at Mandalay Bay. They offer luxury cabanas and bungalows, too. The Four Seasons is an easy pick when hunting around for one of the best family hotels in Las Vegas.
When you want to get away with just your partner – you know, sans kids – it’s worth noting that the Four Seasons is also among the most romantic hotels in Las Vegas.
Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort
Enjoy a round of mini-golf or shuffleboard, create your own sundaes or settle in for Family Movie Night at the Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort, one of the most family friendly hotels in Las Vegas. Located less than three miles from the Las Vegas Strip, families will love this peaceful Las Vegas family resort that has so much for families to do and enjoy during their stay.
Look for one- and two-bedroom villas at the Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort, which comfortably sleep between four and eight guests. Even better, each villa has a separate living area and a full kitchen whether you want to stretch out and relax after a fun day or make one of your favorite meals for dinner.
Kids will love the central playground at the resort, as well as the Activities Center, which offers multiple activities daily, including face painting and scavenger hunts. Kids can also participate in arts and crafts activities to paint and decorate picture frames, keepsake boxes and piggy banks. It’s easy to see why the Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort makes the list of the best hotels for kids in Las Vegas.
Signature at MGM Grand
The Signature at MGM Grand is an all-suite hotel just one block from the Las Vegas Strip offering plenty of space for families, as well as great views, kitchenettes and spa tubs. There’s also a top-notch on-site concierge that can book a pool cabana, order groceries or set you up with dinner reservations.
Kids will love the private pool at the Signature at MGM Grand, one of the best family pools in Las Vegas. As a bonus, you can also access any of the five pools, three whirlpools or the huge lazy river that are a part of the nearby MGM Grand Pool Complex. There’s also a grab-and-go café inside this kid friendly Las Vegas hotel called Delights that’s the perfect place to grab a breakfast sandwich, soup, a salad or a made-to-order pizza.
The Signature at MGM Grand is quiet, too. It may be one block from the Las Vegas Strip, but it’s far enough away from the lights and sounds of the casinos. In fact, there are no casinos in the Signature at MGM Grand, so there’s no need to walk through one on the way to and from your hotel room. However, if you do wish to play during your stay, it’s a short walk to the casinos at the MGM Grand.
Have you stayed at any of the above kid friendly hotels in Las Vegas? I’d love to hear about your experience, particularly if you stayed at a hotel or resort boasting one of the best family pools in Las Vegas.
