Earlier this year, I was asked by Lonely Planet to contribute to a free family travel ebook they were putting together to help families like you plan out adventures with your kids. Of course, I had to say yes. They wanted me to contribute my best tips on traveling with kids in New Orleans, and since I was just there in June with my four kids, it was a perfect match.
So today, I’m happy to let you know about 25 City Adventures for Families from Lonely Planet. This free ebook includes tips and advice on the best places to go, must-see attractions, even money-saving tips when traveling to various cities with kids. The cities featured in this ebook are among the best for kids and range from Amsterdam to San Francisco to Tokyo.
There are even a few cities in this ebook that I wouldn’t have originally considered as family destinations, like Ho Chi Minh City and Marrakesh, but after reading the sections for these cities, I’m sold. I may need to book my ticket this afternoon. I had no idea about the French-inspired architecture or the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City. Sounds like a win for both me and the kids. 🙂
Enjoy this free ebook, and be sure to check out the Lonely Planet Kids website (beware of the burping hamburger…that’s all I’ll say). Lonely Planet also has lots of books for sale that are great for kids, like Adventures in Famous Places, Adventures in Smelly Places and Adventures in Noisy Places.
