Despite the fact that it was 37 degrees when I went out for a run yesterday morning, it’s a fact that school is nearly finished up for the year and summer road trips are on the horizon. While my plan to take my four kids on a two-week road trip from DC to Boston in August is still percolating in my mind, I know that I’ll be looking for some good advice to make sure we all have a good time (while I maintain my sanity).

I started to hunt around on the blogs and travel websites for some tips and tricks, and here are a few posts I’ve found useful that you may like as well. Great tips here on planning, packing and not getting lost or pulled over while on your way to grandmother’s house.

  1. On my road trips, seems like the resource I use the most is the RoomSaver app. It has the same lodging discounts as the coupons books found at rest stops. Enjoy!
