A couple of months ago, I told you that my kids and I planned to check off every box on the 100 Things to Do This Summer checklist that Land of Nod posted on their blog last summer. We’re about one-quarter way through the list and are still plugging away with no plans to end the summer with any boxes left unchecked.

Well, this checklist was so popular that Land of Nod put out another checklist: 100 More Things to Do This Summer. This list includes fun favorites like playing broom hockey (I totally did this when I was in middle school), making smoothies and having a lemonade stand.

Since these two lists have come out, I’ve seen quite a few more lists available online, and I’m so excited to have many summers worth of fun activities to accomplish with my kids. Here are a few more of the checklists you may want to check out and check off before summer is over.

From Digital Reflections, this list of 100 Free Things to Do with Your Kids This Summer includes lots of fun ideas, like playing Frisbee golf, making sock puppets and having a tea party.

The ladies at Six Sisters’ Stuff put together this fabulous list of 100 Things to Do with Kids This Summer. Among my favorites are having a watermelon seed spitting contest, hosting your own backyard Olympic Games, and doing some potato stamping.

My friend Amy at MomAdvice put together a fabulous 100 Days of Summer board on Pinterest, featuring loads of must-do activities with your kids, like making glow stick lanterns, doing a shrimp boil night and making butterflies out of paper towels.

Over at The Centsible Life, you’ll find 40 Free (or Nearly Free) Summer Activities for Kids. Lots of good stuff here too, like going on a factory tour, getting a pen pal and going geocaching. Plus, don’t forget about lots of free weekend classes offered at Home Depot, Lowe’s and Michaels.

Mr. Free Stuff goes above and beyond the call of duty by posting a whopping 120 Free Things to Do with Kids This Summer. On this list, you’ll find fun and free activities, like visiting museums, making play dough, having a water balloon fight and having a treasure hunt on the beach.

Need more lists? If you do a web search for “100 Things to Do This Summer with Kids” you will find even more fun lists to print out and start checking off items with your kids. Are you working your way through one of these lists? Let me know which one and how you’re doing so far. Happy Summer!
