Postcards from…Chattanooga

We’re on our way to Texas in the morning, but I wanted to put up a quick post to share some of our photos from Chattanooga. We only had a day to explore this lovely town in Tennessee, but we made the most of it at Rock City and Ruby Falls.

From Lover's Leap at Rock City look for incredibly scenic views.

You can actually see seven states from the lookout point at Rock City.

Look for little red bird houses, like this one, all over Rock City.

After Rock City, we took a tour of nearby Ruby Falls to see the 145-foot underground waterfall. WOW.

I also wanted to check out the Incline Railway and the Tennessee Aquarium, but we just ran out of time since we only had one day in Chattanooga  before moving on to New Orleans. The next time I’m in town, I’m definitely planning to do both.

While in Chattanooga, we stayed at The Chattanoogan. We had connecting rooms, which was perfect. The kids slept on two queen-size beds while I got some actual rest on a king-size bed in a room of my own. Ah, heaven.

We ate dinner at the on-site Broad Street Grille. Trust me, order the Shrimp and Grits. Delicious. After dinner, we were all about the pool, and a neon blue one at that. Enjoy.

After dinner, the kids and I were all about the indoor pool. Even better, we had views of Lookout Mountain.
