Giveaway: Lonely Planet “Not for Parents” Travel Guidebooks

** This giveaway is now closed. Thanks to everyone who entered! My husband and I have been huge fans of the Lonely Planet guidebooks and website for a long time. In fact, I can’t remember a trip abroad without one of their guides in our pack. So when I learned about the “Not for Parents” series of guidebooks just for kids, I knew these travel guides would make a great addition to our children’s travel library.

Sure enough, the Lonely Planet folks hit it out of the park. Lonely Planet recently published six new titles in the series, and when our copies arrived in the mail, I hardly got a look before my son ran off with them and started flipping through cover-to-cover. A few minutes later, I was peppered with exclamations like, “Did you know that Pilgrim children built forts?,” “Did you know that Alaska is three times the size of France?” and “Britain has so many rules for tea-drinking!”

Lonely Planet knows how to mix education and entertainment in the “Not for Parents” series. Among the new books are Not for Parents: Australia, Not for Parents: China, Not for Parents: USA and Not for Parents: Great Britain. They also released Not for Parents: Extreme Planet, which highlights the coolest, hottest, scariest and smelliest that our world has to offer. Last, there’s Not for Parents: How to Be a World Explorer, which shows young readers how to venture through all terrains, how to find food in the wild, how to avoid deadly diseases, and more.

Just in time for the holiday season, Lonely Planet has generously offered to give away a copy of all six new books to two lucky Kidventurous readers. All you need to do is enter via the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck!
