Hotel RoomCyber Monday is just hours away and already I’ve received a dozen emails touting big discounts and exclusive savings. But not just on cameras, video game systems and digital frames, there are great deals on travel, especially hotel rooms, making it a perfect time to book accommodations for next year’s family vacation. Here are six Cyber Monday stops to make to find great deals on hotel stays.

  • Orbitz: Save up to 50% on 1000s of hotels worldwide, as well as all-inclusives, at family-friendly destinations like Cancun, Maui, Orlando and Chicago. You’ll also find deals on attractions, like Walt Disney World park tickets. I just spotted a deal to get a five-day Park Hopper pass for the price of a three-day Park Hopper pass. Book by Thursday (12/1).
  • Hotels.com: Hotels.com is also offering as good as half-price hotel stays at 300 properties. However, while I found quite a few hotels with 20-30% discounts, I had a tough time finding half-off deals (I only found one). Book by Monday (11/28). You must travel by 1/2, according to Gadling.
  • Groupon: Groupon launched Groupon Getaways in conjunction with Expedia not long ago, and every day you’ll find 20-30 hot deals at hotels and resorts worldwide. A recent Great Wolf Lodge deal sold out in just a few days. Overall, a great site to bookmark for discounted family-friendly hotel stays. Two others worth a look are LivingSocial Escapes and Totsy, a children’s daily deal site, which occasionally offers Totsy Travel deals.
  • Yuupon: This new flash travel site will offer up to 90% off global travel deals during their “Not a Typo” sale through Cyber Monday. A few great deals include three nights in Negril, Jamaica for $299 (save 49%) and four-nights in Costa Rica for $399 (save 77%). Be sure to check them out on Facebook for their schedule of Cyber Monday deals, including a $3 dolphin cruise in Destin, FL.

If you have a favorite hotel or hotel chain, and would like to book your stay with them next year, reach out to them on Twitter and Facebook on Cyber Monday. Check their feeds to find out if they’re having any sales, and reach out directly to find out if you need promo codes.

Are you planning to book any 2012 family travel on Cyber Monday? I’d love to hear about your experience.
