Best of the Blogs: First Flights, Disney & Travel Abroad

It’s that time of the week again, time to share some of the fabulous, family-friendly posts put together by Kidventurous contributors on their own blogs. Take a look at what they have for you this week. Enjoy!

Getting ready to take your first flight with little ones? Check in with Christin of Kiddos on Board for security line quick tips, as well as how to choose your airplane seats wisely. You’ll be happy you did.

Planning to take your kids out of the country? Then, don’t miss this post form Heather at The Family Suitcase with Three Things to Do Before You Travel Abroad. I’m taking two of my girls to Austria in December, so this was a timely read for me.

Thinking about taking a trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland soon? Rebecca at R We There Yet Mom? has a couple of cool ideas to make your experience even better, like getting a “visit” from Tinkerbell and creating personalized Disney princess dining invitations.

Naturally, Beth at Disney with Children, also has a tip or two about making the most of a Disney vacation. This week, she took the time to review an online company called Everything Princesses, which has everything your little girl would need to create the perfect princess look.

Last, but not least, Diane at Philzendia has some more reviews of fun places to take your kids, like a tour of the Smarties Candy Factory in Union, NJ and the Strasburg Railroad in Lancaster County, PA.

Got a minute? Kidventurous has been nominated for two family travel awards and we would love your vote. You can find out more in this recent post about the awards. Thank you!

  1. Thanks for sharing! I love checking out new blogs.

We are traveling with lil ones for their first trip to NYC in December so I’m really looking at being well prepared for the travel – 21 months now and newborn now.
