5 Spots to Find Kidventurous Travel Posts

bo white house dogI’ve been busy lately, both writing articles and blog posts for other websites, and trying to write blog posts for Kidventurous. Take a look at some of the new posts I’ve got out there right now.

My very latest post, Very Presidential DC, went live today on National Geographic’s Family Time blog. With the presidential inauguration this weekend, I explored ten must-do activities around town to brush up on presidential history, including getting to know America’s “First Dogs” at the Newseum and paying a visit to Lincoln’s summer home.

For those wanting to include a few travel resolutions on their list this year, I wrote an article for NBCNews.com Travel called 8 Travel Resolutions Worth Keeping. Among my top resolutions are being smarter about points programs and traveling with sustainability in mind.

For the Today Show website, I wrote an article for those planning ski vacations this year called Vacation Rentals Popular for Family Ski Trips, But Choose Wisely. Here I include lots of great tips like connecting with the concierge and thinking about the configuration of the rental unit before you commit.

I wrote a fun piece for IndependentTraveler.com called 10 Things You Should Never Wear When Traveling Abroad. Among the top items to leave at home are sneakers, bright colored clothing, flashy jewelry and backpacks, which can peg you as a tourist right away.

Finally, for Family Vacation Critic, I wrote several short family-focused blog posts, including New Orleans: Super Bowl Size Fun for Your Family, Best Free Things to Do in Washington, DC and 5 Family-Friendly Art Museums.

Are there any other family travel topics of interest to you? Just let me know in the comments below and I’ll be sure to cover them here on Kidventurous or on a related travel website.
