5 Must-Have Activity Books for Family Road Trips

carschoolingAre you getting ready to head out on a family road trip for Spring Break? Snacks, iPods and coloring books are a must, as are activity books full of games, puzzles and stickers. Here are five of my favorite children’s activity books that are perfect for your next road trip:

License Plates Across the States: Travel Puzzles and Games: Kids will love this activity book, which is packed full of mazes, puzzles, word searches and travel games all about the 50 states. Plus, look for license plate stickers to play the license plate game on your journey.

National Geographic Kids: Ultimate U.S. Road Trip Atlas: We got this book last year and my kids love flipping through the pages to read about roadside attractions and cool things to do in each state. Kids will also learn about the state flowers, animals and birds as well as some fun facts.

Everything Kids’ Travel Activity Book: Whether you’re taking a car trip or flying on a plane, this book will keep your kids entertained with plenty of puzzles, activities, quizzes and games. Kids can also create their own postcards and play detective.

Carschooling: For those who want to mix learning with fun while taking a road trip, this book is a must with plenty of games and activities designed to enhance skills in math, science and more. Kids will love games like “Windshield Entomology” and “18-Wheeler Chemistry.”

Brainiac’s Road Trip Activity Book: Try out this book with loads of games, riddles, crossword puzzles and fill-in-the-blank stories, which is sure to keep kids busy for hours. You’ll also find classics like the license plate game, travel bingo and more.
