I love any and all books from National Geographic Kids. Last year, I picked up National Geographic Kids Ultimate U.S. Road Trip Atlas and National Geographic Kids National Parks Guide U.S.A.. My kids loved paging through the colorful books and reading the fun facts. So, I was excited to learn about two new books, which I’ll be giving away this week. Take a look:
Myths Busted: Just When You Thought You Knew…: My 3 y.o. son loves this book, though I think he’s mostly intrigued by the alligator on the front cover emerging from a toilet! This is another fun and colorful book that teaches kids so much. Throughout the book, you’ll find various myths de-bunked, like “lightning never strikes the same place twice” and “chewing gum takes seven years to digest” (neither is true). The book also contains lots of fun facts and the origins of various myths.
National Geographic Kids Almanac 2014: This book is packed with pictures, facts and trivia about animals, geography, history, nature, world cultures, science and more. Most chapters include a “More for You” section with a quiz on what you’ve learned as well as a “Homework Help” area offering tips and advice on writing essays, exploring new cultures and giving oral reports. This book is so entertaining your kids won’t even realize they are learning.
So, who wants to win a copy of both Myths Busted: Just When You Thought You Knew… and National Geographic Kids Almanac 2014? I’m giving away two sets of both books. Just enter below by Friday, April 26 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
