If you’re thinking about an end of summer vacation, there are a whole bunch of fun and creative hotel packages available right now. Take a look at five of my favorites that might just be perfect for you and your family.
Capitol Hill Hotel (DC): Head to Washington, DC for a fun weekend of secrets and espionage thanks to a fun package called The Family that Spies Together, Stays Together. You’ll get a Superior Suite, plus a free deluxe continental breakfast and tickets to the International Spy Museum. A second fun package worth checking out is Night at the Museum for natural history lovers.
Ink 48 (NY): Take the kids into New York City for Mark Your Place in Outer Space, a fun space-themed hotel package at Kimpton’s Ink 48. You’ll get tickets to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum to check out the new Space Shuttle Pavilion, as well as a pair of binoculars to see the night’s stars and a book for kids called See How They Go: Spaceship. Use rate code SPACE.
Loews Philadelphia Hotel (PA): Head to Philadelphia for an overnight stay that your littlest ones will just love. The Play and Stay package at the Loews in Philadelphia includes tickets to the popular Please Touch Museum, as well as free carousel rides and discounts at the Please Taste Café. Even better, you’ll receive special access to performances at the Please Touch Playhouse.
Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort (SC): If you’re thinking about heading to the shore in South Carolina, then you must check out the Family Adventure package at the Omni in Hilton Head. You’ll get a children’s pail and shovel, as well as a kite to fly on the beach. Even better, you’ll get a s’mores kit, disposable camera and picture frames for your kids to decorate. So much fun.
The Plaza (NY): I’ll be honest, the Knights of the Plaza package is not cheap but, well, it is The Plaza. You and your kids will get to stay in the signature Tower Suite, have a picnic lunch at Belvedere Castle in Central Park, and even a welcome gift bag that includes a $100 FAO Schwarz gift card, a prince or princess robe, a closet full of knight dress up outfits and more.
